The Mess Is Ok…

New Year New You!!!! Yeah, well not so fast. All the running around has screeched to a halt, and now the fear sets in. Everything is a mess! Work picks back up at a ferocious pace, and the house is in shambles. Kids may or may not be back to school, and the stress sets in.

The mess is OK, settle down. What was your expectation? You can’t be organizing and cleaning all while being “Super Parents” or even a high level single adult through holiday schedules. This is the expectation! The mess is expected unless we unleash a larger mess in our own minds. Accept the mess and take your steps needed to part time it back to what you feel comfortable with. We all say we’ll do better next year. That year is NOW, just not all TODAY. Be mindful and make a single step towards your goals.

When creating your tasks, be simple. Don’t overreach and be specific. Start with 1-3 items for improvement in your life. Which one is most important? Highest value to your lifestyle improvements. Stick with that one, that one above all. By March select your next. If you could improve 3 things in your life within the great year of 2024, you’re winning at the highest level. Accept your temporary mess as absolutely human. Now go win.
